京扇子は、扇骨と呼ばれる芯の数が多く、
耐久性に優れ、滑らかな開閉ができることが特徴的で、特に繊細なデザインが特徴です。
歴史は平安時代まで遡り、現在では「京扇子」という呼び名は京都扇子団扇商工協同組合だけが使用できる、特別な名称となっています。
